Hello world!

Hello Blog world!  This is my first ever proper blog, I dont really know much about them but I have been told its where I can just put down my bits and pieces about Reptiles.  Im not sure how to structure it exactly but I will have info and day to day dealings with my own animals and anything else that might be relevant.

 Quick intro into me; Crownan:

Im 27, been keeping reptiles since 2001 when I got my first snake, a Brazilian Rainbow boa.  I kept just the one snake until the end of 2004 when I got a Bearded dragon, since then I have acquired more up to where I am now.  Currently I keep 1.2 Brazilian Rainbow Boas, 2.0 Amazon Tree Boas, 0.1 Royal Python, 0.1 Borneo Blood Python, 1.0 Rosy Boa and 1.0 Kenyan Sand Boa.  I also have 2 lizards; 1.0 Bearded Dragon, 0.1 Green Iguana; 2 Tarantulas - a chile rose and a honduran curly hair; and 2 emperor scorpions.

I bred the Brazilian Rainbow boas last year (well, born last year, male/female paired up end of 2005) - I got 19 live, 2 still born and a couple of slugs, I was very chuffed.  I sold all bar one which I was going to hold onto, however I just let him go as I felt he was surplas to requirements and has helped free up a bit of room so that I may be able to get some other snakes in order to make pairs of my single sex charges.

A good friend of mine took my royal python over the 2006/2007 winter and bred her for me and incubated the eggs. She had a clutch of 7 eggs of which all hatched, I took 3 and after at least 4 straight strike feeds they have gone to 3 good friends of mine.

When I get the chance I shall get a Blog up about each of the animals I have - Once Ive worked this blogging thing out - categories, posts etc!

Hope some may find it interesting?! :o)
